[ARCHIVED] Supervisor's Welcome Letter 2022

I am pleased to welcome you to the Town of Poughkeepsie’s new website.Whether you are a long standing or new member of the town please continue to browse our site.

The Town of Poughkeepsie is nestled in the majestic Hudson valley and is rich with culture and steeped in history. The Town is honored to be the home of prestigious institutions such as Vassar and Marist colleges and is the home to the well respected Dutchess Community College. Along with these prestigious institutes of higher learning, we are also proud to have Locust Grove, the former home of Samuel Morse. Our 21 parks offer recreational activities for everyone including hiking and walking trails in our highly esteemed Peach Hill and Creekside Park. Fine dining is abundant, while art exhibits, festivals, fairs and farm market are bountiful.

We have a tremendous senior Community as well as many young families who contribute to the diversity of our town. Our impressive Senior Center opened in 2013 and offers a vast variety of programs and events. The Town of Poughkeepsie benefits greatly from the experience, dedication and passion its residents bring to the area.

I am committed to our community and the needs that exist as we live, work, play and educate our families in the greatest Town in the Hudson Valley.
